AMOREPACIFIC to Implement Six Sigma for Total Quality Management

AMOREPACIFIC is implementing Six Sigma, to strengthen itself as a global company which satisfies the customers’ essential needs, and to attain a higher level of management capacity. Many global companies have achieved considerable managerial results after adopting Six Sigma. AMOREPACIFIC has injected Six Sigma in its R&D division two years ago, and with its success AMOREPACIFIC plans to implement Six Sigma in all divisions, which includes both manufacturing and non-manufacturing divisions. Six Sigma is expected to overcome the limitations of the previous innovative activities at AMOREPACIFIC, with its continuity, practicality, and direct link with the performance results. AMOREPACIFIC set up a corporate master plan in February, and has defined Six Sigma as a ‘practical roadmap’ to achieve the vision of ‘2015 Global Top Ten.’ For more than ten years, AMOREPACIFIC has continuously positioned itself as a profitable company by adopting intensive innovative actions such as SCM and CRM. The implementation of Six Sigma in 2005 will assist AMOREPACIFIC in bringing the management quality closer to global standards, and amplifying the current innovative efforts to satisfy the customer’s essential needs, innovate the operation process, and cultivate staff with global talents.
