Declaration of Animal Testing Prohibition

Amorepacific does not conduct animal testing,
with respect for life and animal welfare.

Since 2008, Amorepacific has voluntarily ceased conducting animal testing. As of 2013, we have also prohibited all forms of animal testing, including collaboration with partner companies, except in cases where it is required by other countries or regulations beyond our control and when there are no alternatives available, in accordance with the declaration of "No Animal Testing for Cosmetics."

Quality and Safety are values
we take into the utmost priority.

Over the past 30 years, Amorepacific has been at the forefront of animal testing prohibition based on the principle of respect for life. We have actively researched and implemented alternatives to animal testing to ensure the safety of our ingredients and products. Since the 1990s, when awareness of alternative testing methods was low, Amorepacific has closely collaborated with the government, related organizations, and academic societies to focus on the development and implementation of alternatives to animal testing. We have laid the foundation for the advancement of alternatives to animal testing that developed in Korea.

In this process, the testing methods in which Amorepacific participated were internationally recognized and adopted as OECD guidelines, and we have consistently been selected as a leading organization contributing to academic activities by the KSAAE(Korean Society for Alternatives to Animal Experiments) since 2015. Through these achievements, we have elevated the credibility and status of alternatives to animal testing that developed in Korea, contributing to the promotion of animal welfare worldwide.

In 2023, we became the first Korean beauty company to join ICCS, the global consortium against animal testing. Our commitment to advancing alternative methods and promoting animal welfare continues today. In 2024, our brand Innisfree joined PETA's 'Beauty Without Bunnies' program as a Global Animal Test-free brand-a testament to our unwavering commitment to bringing beauty to humans and nature.
