Amorepacific donated around KRW 150 million to 111 organizations through its ‘Matching Gift’ scheme, one of the company’s members sharing campaigns.
Matching Gift is a CSR program where Amorepacific matches the amount of yearly donations contributed by its employees and donates to the same organizations. When a member submits a Matching Gift application with details of the donation that he or she made in the previous year at during year-end tax adjustments every year, the company decides on whether to make the same donation.
This year, 225 Amorepacific members applied for Matching Gift. After a review, a total of KRW 149,882,937 was donated to 111 organizations, including ChildFund Korea, social welfare foundation World Vision, Good Neighbors International, and the Korean Committee for UNICEF.
Jeonghwa Oh, Senior Vice President of Sustainability Management Division, said “Matching Gift is a meaningful sharing campaign as it encourages the voluntary participation of members” and added, “Amorepacific will continue to pursue activities in all aspects that will help build a more beautiful world with its members.”
