AmorePacific, concluded MOU with Korea Medical Institute of Dermatology and Aesthetics

AmorePacific (CEO Kyung-bae Seo) and Korea Medical Institute of Dermatology and Aesthetics have concluded MOU to promote capacity and competitiveness of domestic skin research on 10th. The ceremony took place in the institute’s office located in Seocho-dong, Seoul at 6:00 PM and the chairman Kwang-hoon Lee and president of AmorePacific institute were present.

Both parties, through the contract, agreed that they will carry out “AmorePacific Skin Scientist Research Support Program” which will select research plans of new skin scientists and support their researches as much as 0.72 billion won for 5 years. Also, AmorePacific will invigorate knowledge academic interchange with new skin scientist professors. 

Domestic skin science and beauty areas or clinical dermatology area are advanced compared to international standard whereas the basic research is not.  AmorePacific will create an environment to focus on basic researches through research supports to professors. 

APTL’s chairman Kang said, “For domestic beauty industry to develop, not only the product development but also research support are needed to form basic skin science research infra.  The support by AmorePacific through this contract will become a cornerstone for beauty industry’s development.”

Meanwhile, AmorePacific has established “AmorePacific Female Scientist Award” and supported domestic female scientists who contributed to the development of science with their outstanding achievements. AmorePacific Female Scientist Award includes a total of 80 million won, which is the largest amount as a female scientist award.  AmorePacific has produced 32 winners through four ceremonies until 2009.  This year, we have received applications until June 30, and will have the 5th ceremony around November after evaluation.
