Amorepacific received nine awards under four categories at the iF Design Awards 2023.

The winning entries were ‘Plesia Kids Toothbrush Step 2 and 3’ in the product design category, ‘IOPE Package Design Renewal Project’ and ‘HANYUL New Design’ in the package design category, ‘IOPE LAB CAPTURED’ and ‘HANYUL Sijang Campaign’ in the communication category, and ‘AMORE FACTORY,’ ‘Bubbly! - The Shape of Happiness,’ and ‘Ready? It’s your turn!’ in the exhibition design category.

The iF Design Awards is hosted by the International Forum Design in Germany and is considered to be one of the three major design competitions in the world, together with the Red Dot Design Award in Germany and IDEA International Design Excellence Awards in the US.

Plesia Kids Toothbrush Step 2 and 3, which won the iF Design Award in the product design category, are customized toothbrushes for children aged 3-5 and 6-9, respectively, considering their experience with brushing their teeth and their teeth development stage, and are designed to help children and their guardians brush their teeth safely and comfortably.

The IOPE Package Design Renewal Project, which won the iF Design Award in the package design category, was said to have reinvented the exclusive impression of IOPE with organic curves that imply skin vitality and advanced dermatology. It also minimized the environmental footprint through the use of a sustainable design. Another winner in the same category, HANYUL New Design, was described as having interpreted Korea’s traditional ingredients and the fermentation technology in a new, contemporary way that preserved the essence of the brand while bringing the design up to date.

IOPE LAB CAPTURED, which won the iF Design Award in the communication category, visualized the intangible value of IOPE, the highly functional skincare brand, into 3D motion graphics, thereby communicating the brand’s technological prowess and the efficacy of the products in a fresh, appealing manner. The HANYUL Sijang Campaign in the same category visualized the benefits of Korea’s natural ingredients, giving a modern twist to Korea’s traditional market. The campaign is seen to have allowed customers to experience the form, texture, and sound of the natural ingredients found in markets.

AMORE FACTORY, which won the iF Design Award in the exhibition design category, is a corporate promotion hall in Amorepacific’s Osan Park, which reinterpreted the product manufacturing process that can only be seen by visiting cosmetics factory via digital media, motion graphics, and VR. It is said to have offered differentiated content compared to the existing company promotion halls. Bubbly! - The Shape of Happiness is a place where visitors can experience the moment of happiness delivered by “Happy Bath” through the five senses along with the bubbles. Ready? It’s your turn! is an exhibition by Amorepacific’s male brand BEREADY, which used the brand’s signature colors to create six unique spaces in the exhibition hall to let visitors be the main character of the show as they walk through different parts of the hall.

Heo Jung-won, Head of Amorepacific Creative Center, said, “The sphere of design that delivers the corporate and brand message is expanding beyond product and package design to include the overall customer experience through communication and exhibitions. We plan to introduce a variety of appealing content based on ideas of sincerity, timeliness, and differentiation.”

Amorepacific is recognized worldwide for its design excellence, and it also won seven main awards at the iF Design Awards 2022 and an award from the Red Dot Design Awards 2023 in the product design category with Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum.
