AMOREPACIFIC Group strives to contribute to the establishment of a circular economy by minimizing the amount of waste generated at worksites and promoting recycling. In particular, for waste generated at worksites, we strive to minimize the use of resources and expand resource circulation based on the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principle. In particular, we are trying to find an optimized recycling method for each type of waste by subdividing the classification of waste by characteristic and type.
Achieving Zero Waste to Landfill in Production Sites
Amorepacific has obtained international Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) certification for all its facilities, starting with Amore Beauty Park in Osan, followed by Daejeon Daily Beauty production site and Cosvision locations. ZWTL certification evaluates the level of waste recycling at a facility and assigns a grade based on the recycling rate. Specifically, Amore Beauty Park achieved a recycling rate of over 94%, becoming the first in the beauty industry to earn ZWTL Silver certification in March 2022. In the first half of 2023, Daejeon Daily Beauty production site and Cosvision facilities earned Platinum certification, the highest grade, recognizing their 100% waste recycling rate without incineration or landfilling.
